Our Location
We are based in the beautiful City of Guelph, home of the University of Guelph. The University of Guelph has two very highly rated colleges that are important to animal health and wellness.

The Ontario Agriculture College (OAC) is a founding college of the University of Guelph, ranked as Canada’s top comprehensive research university. OAC provides innovative life sciences education and research for agriculture, food, the environment and rural communities in Canada and around the world.
Our Products and Production
We make our products in small batches in our own human food grade production facility. Before we moved into our production facility, it was previously used to make fresh pasta and fresh pasta sauces.
It is very important for us to know who makes our ingredients, where our ingredients come from and how they are stored and produced. We know that it is also very important to you. We make our own products, in our own facility and do not have any of our production or packaging outsourced.We do not use co-packers so we can keep complete control over where our ingredients come from our ingredient freshness and quality control.
We strive to find local ingredients for use in our natural pet supplements in order to minimize our carbon footprint. We use brand name ingredients that have clinical research information and add and label them at effective dosages.
We label our product ingredients with “Country of Origin Labels” (COOL) so that you know where the ingredients came from.
We use “HUMAN GRADE” ingredients primarily. However if we can only find research proven ingredients that are of “FOOD ANIMAL FEED GRADE” WE WILL USE THESE SCIENTIFICALLY RESEARCHED AND PROVEN INGREDIENTS. We want to produce only EFFECTIVE products made with evidence based ingredients of the highest quality that we can possibly find.
We are not and will not be chained to trendy “marketing slogans” such as “100% human grade ingredients” when we KNOW of better effective and researched ingredients which are ONLY available as a “FOOD ANIMAL FEED GRADE” ingredient.
WE DO NOT USE any ingredients that are so called “PET FOOD GRADE” as these type of materials are inferior and have no place in any holistic natural pet health supplement.

Our People
John Leveris, the founder of WellyTails holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Honors Degree with specialization in Animal Nutrition and Genetics from the University of Guelph 1982.
John has worked in agriculture and food for over 25 years. For the past 5 years, he has been involved in human and companion animal natural health and wellness ingredients and products. Marine based (DHA & EPA) Omega-3 and natural antioxidant phytonutrients have been his focus of research and product development. With his findings that a large body of research proves the importance of DHA & EPA marine origin Omega-3s, antioxidant phytonutrients, enzymes and probiotics along with other natural ingredients to a pets’ health and longevity he wanted to help pet parents have pets in excellent health and living happy full natural lives.
He also discovered that established pet industry dietary supplement makers / suppliers were not bothering to reformulate their products to include and make available ingredients that had the latest in scientific research findings. In essence these established pet dietary supplement makers / suppliers were happy to just continue to make and market dietary pet supplements that had old discredited and ineffective ingredients because they could make more money than using modern more costly however FAR MORE EFECTIVE ingredients.
He believes that more pet parents are becoming aware that high temperature and grain containing processed pet foods do not contain all of the nutrients and “Natural Health Factors” needed for our pets to have a maximum level of health and have a happy long natural lifespan. John has faith that pet parents will be looking for and buying WellyTails a very high quality evidence based natural holistic dietary supplement for their pet family members.
Gladys Galeano holds an Honors Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and has extensive experience in cultured dairy foods, enzymes and probiotics. She is responsible for our manufacturing operations, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and quality control.
Family members and pet loving friendly staff are involved in this small family based business.

As with most natural health products, it may take 3 – 6 weeks before notable results are observed. If you are not completely satisfied, please save the unused portion and the packaging and return it to the place of purchase with a purchase receipt for a full refund.
